- Page-level link features – it’s similar to domain authority, however, it’s the actually page and it’s direct backlinks. Google measures it at almost the same score with domain authority level at around 19.15%. Here anchor text distribution is equally important to ensure it’s relevant to the content and not stuffed.
- Page-level KW & Content features – Google considers the relevance of your topic to the content, and the content itself. It looks at quantity and quality to score your page. Your content gets as much as 14.94% relevance score for your ranking.
- Page-level keyword features – how people find your content is vital as well. Google checks for keyword relevance to your content, the readability score, the length, load speed and it’s uniqueness when compared with other related contents. It gets you 9.8% ranking score.
- Domain-level brand features – your brand popularity is also an SEO factor. Google sees where your domain is mentioned, who mentioned it and for what purpose. Google loves brand. For your brand popularity Google scores your domain 8.59%.
- User, Usage and Traffic Data – Google also monitors traffic, usage signals from browsers, toolbars and clickstreams. It checks for CTR queries, quantity, interest, time spent. It scores the experience up to 8.06%.
- Social Metrics – it measures quantity and quality of tweeted links, Facebook shares and Google +1. It wants to know how much people like your content and are willing to share with others. Social metrics gets you 7.24%.
- Domain-level keyword usage – it checks for exact match keywords to your content and also partial keyword matches. And it gives a score of 6.98%.
- Domain Level Keyword Agnostic Features – Google accord authority to domain name length and TLD extension. Also important is the domain HTTP response time. The faster your blog the better your ranking. And this accounts for 5.21% of your SEO score.

You want more traffic to your blog. The question is, what type of traffic? There are different types of traffic to help you grow your blog. However, not all types of traffic may be profitable for your blog. You need to carefully choose how best to drive traffic to your blog.
Most especially, you need traffic that is sustainable. There are reasons you should choose the traffic sources for your blog. See my reasons below. You can make them yours as well.

I consider target audience as my priority when looking for traffic for my blog. How relevant are the audience I’m targeting? If they are not relevant to my niche, it might be a waste of time and resource. The right target audience is easy to convert. The wrong audience would hurt your SEO as well.
Another factor is sustainability. How can that Traffic be sustained? What is the cost? The nature of blogs may not sustain some traffic sources. It’s in your interest to avoid them from the beginning. And stick with only what works for your blog.
Free Web Traffic:
The other things which should be considered is ‘FREE’ web traffic sources. You need free traffic to grow your blog. In fact, the kind of traffic you would require monthly, paying for them may not be profitable for your blog.
In addition, most successful blogs thrive on free traffic. It’s the main source of their blog visitors. Some don’t even pay for any advert. They are run 100% on free traffic.

Email is still one of the ways to drive traffic to your blog. It’s where most of customers are spending their time and money. Email is your instant money blog strategy. Every smart blogger knows that.
Social Media Traffic:
Although, social media traffic is not different from referral traffic. But due to the relevance of social media now we are looking at it separately as a source of traffic. It’s not different from referral traffic.
However, other aspect of social media traffic that differentiates it from normal referral traffic is the follow visitors. Those who follow you on social media, who you can constantly drive to your site on regular basis using post updates.
This form of traffic is part of your off-page SEO work. It comes from your link building strategy. People who click on your link on another website, forum, social media or Q&A blog sites.
It can be a huge source of traffic to your blog if done well. However, the challenge is in building an effective link structure to authority sites with huge potential for more traffic.

However, the most important traffic of all these traffic sources is the organic traffic. The reason is simple, it has great potential for sustainability and growth.

Wikipedia described web traffic as the amount of data sent and received by visitors to a website.
This includes the number of visitors and the number of pages visited. It doesn’t take into account fake traffic – which is is bot traffic generated by another artificial source. Fake traffic can damage your blog reputation, its overall domain authority and affects its visibility on Google.
However, you need accurate information about how many visitors are searching for a particular information. Because Google doesn’t create web pages for given requests, rather it displays search results based on related keyword searches.
So, you need to know which related keyword to your topic has higher traffic value. This traffic value is what you optimize for with SEO Techniques.
Here are a few ideas to know how to optimize for web traffic.

How many people are using the same keyword to search for that information? That’s the first thing you consider. The more people who are searching with the same keyword the better. As a beginner, you want to optimize your blog to get more traffic. But you have never done SEO before. It can be challenging for a beginner, not because SEO is hard, but because you haven’t done it before.
SEO is simply how bloggers prepare their blogs to make it available for indexing and easily located by searchers on search engine.
So, I’m going to be teaching you primarily two things. First, what to do to prepare your Blog for search engine. And secondly, how to make your blog post easily found in the search engine.
How SEO Works For Beginners:
Yours understand how SEO works will help you drive more traffic to your blog. The amount of traffic that comes to your blog is a result of your SEO work.

The good thing about On-page SEO is that you are in control. Everything happens on your site. You are responsible for the success of your On-page SEO. That means you are not depending on any external platform to do your On-page SEO right.
That’s good news from where I stand. I like to know I’m in charge. That’s what you get from On-page SEO.
However, let us look at the things that make up On-page SEO.

Your title tag is your SEO to your visitors. That’s what they will see when the search for your information on search engines. See your title tag as your headline page. So, craft a salesman kind of title tag for each of your post. You have just 75 characters to do this, don’t blow it.
It’s like a preview of your title tag. A snippet of the real deal inside. So, tell the visitor what they would find out once they click the link. Don’t make it boring. A good title tag should be equally supported by an even more appetizing meta Description. You can write up to 135 characters. You don’t get penalized if you write more. You just want to give a perceive info and you want all of your snippet to show.
You know the drill on this one. That’s why you are a blogger. Your content is your product as a blogger. Your job is to sell this product well in every blog post. The reason you are a blogger is that you have something unique to offer.
We may all blog about the same topic, but each one of us blogs with a unique and powerful blogger DNA trademark. Give it your best shot always.
Your best content is the one you poured out your spirit. It’s not the one with the most intelligent words. You are the spirit of your blog. That’s why your audience followed you. Give it to them in each piece.

I have been mentioning the keywords from the start of this article. You may be wondering what exactly is a keyword. Let me explain.
Keywords are words typed into a search request box to query the search engine for information. Searchers use several keywords strings. It may be one word, two words, phrase or even a sentence request string – which is mostly referred to as long tail. The most important part is that it must be words related to the information they need. You optimize your blog to respond to such request by providing the best possible solution to the search query.
Most of the visitors who would come to your blog would find you from search engines. They do so by entering a string of search words. For example: how can I get more traffic to my blog? Those are keyword strings. If you optimized for the relevant keywords in that request, like more traffic or more traffic to my blog, or even my blog, it can trigger the search engine to show your post. Assuming your post is about getting more traffic to blogs.
You can also optimize for the whole search string: how can I get more traffic to my blog. That is known as the long tail keyword. However, you do not control what people will be searching online. • Use Google search console to discover the keywords people generally use to find your site.
